CASPR Membership Criteria – 4 classes
Regular Members Regular members are individuals employed or retained as physician recruiters in Canada by hospitals, hospital corporations, clinics, health care region or authorities, public sector, government agencies or communities to recruit and retain physicians for that entity, or who are otherwise interested in the furtherance of the objectives of the Association. Regular Members shall be entitled to one vote each.
Membership is limited to Physician recruiters who are not employed by Recruitment or For-Profit Agencies.
Honourary Members Honourary members are individuals who the Association deems desirable and appropriate to honour. Honourary members may be proposed by two active members by making a written submission to the board and who have been approved by a majority of the board of directors. Honourary members shall not be permitted to vote or hold office, but may serve on committees.
Retired Members Retired members are individuals retired from full time employment and are interested in the furtherance of the objectives of the Association. Retired Members shall be entitled to one vote each.
Associate Members Associate members are independent contractors, self-employed or volunteer community members whose primary responsibility and purpose is the recruitment of physicians retained my hospitals, hospital organizations, clinics, health care regions or authorities, public sector, government agencies or committees. Associate Members shall be entitled to one vote each.
The Executive Committee will make final decisions for membership.
Active Membership shall consist of members who meet the eligibility criteria set out above and who have paid membership dues for the current year.
